TC100 – Advanced Testicular Cancer Testing Service

Overview

TC100 is a clinician-led testicular cancer testing service designed to support structured assessment of testicular germ cell tumours (TGCT) using complementary, evidence-based tests. The service integrates molecular microRNA testing with classical serum tumour markers to provide a broader clinical view than any single test alone.

TC100 is intended to support diagnosis, treatment assessment, and long-term follow-up – not to replace imaging or histological confirmation.

What is TC100?

TCTC100 brings together two complementary, clinically validated tests into a single integrated pathway:

  • M371-Test – a tumour-specific microRNA (miR-371a-3p) assay with high sensitivity and specificity for testicular germ cell tumours
  • Classical serum tumour markers – AFP, β-hCG and LDH, the established markers used in routine TGCT assessment

This combined approach addresses the limited sensitivity of classical markers alone, while retaining full continuity with current standards of care.

Test Components

M371-Test

A serum-based molecular assay detecting miR-371a-3p, a tumour-specific microRNA strongly correlated with the presence of germ cell tumours and with tumour burden and treatment response.

Classical Serum Tumour Markers

Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) remain part of standard TGCT assessment. They are included within TC100 to maintain compatibility with existing clinical pathways and enable comparison with legacy data.

Test selection within TC100 may vary depending on clinical context and stage of assessment.

Who TC100 Is For

TC100 may be considered where broader, multi-marker testing is needed to support:

  • Diagnosis of suspected testicular germ cell tumours
  • Post-orchiectomy assessment
  • Surveillance and long-term follow-up
  • Assessment of treatment response
  • Reliable detection of recurrence

Results should always be interpreted alongside imaging, histology and clinical findings.

Requisition form

Please download, complete and return the application form. This product should only be ordered by clinicians or other medical professional.

Testing Process

EDX Medical will ship a sample kit to the specified location and physician, along with instructions for sample procurement. Upon completion of the laboratory analysis, EDX Medical will deliver the comprehensive report to the specified physician within a three-week period.
